I’m Michaele Charles, the voice behind Voice. I founded my company after – believe it or not – a seven-year career in accounting and finance. I started out at PricewaterhouseCoopers, then moved to a Denver-based investment company, and finally, a nationwide professional services firm. Not your typical writer path, right? Lucky for me, I apply that foundation in business to each and every client project today.
I’ve always been a writer—since I wrote my first “novel” at the age of eight (awesomely entitled Moving Away). My English professor at Colorado State University told me that majoring in accounting would be a waste of my talents. I guess he was partially right.
After moonlighting as a freelancer for a while, in 2007, I decided to put my right brain and my left brain together and create Voice Communications. I work with colleges and universities, small businesses, mid-size to large companies, and design, creative, and marketing firms. I help clients tell their story, find their voice, and stand out from the masses. My practical business background gives me that unique edge to write copy that is both engaging and effective. Words, after all, can be quite powerful. My job is to help you make yours work for you.
Bonus: I have a network of talented and reasonably priced web developers, graphic designers, and creative firms here in Denver and around the country. If your project calls for more than just the writing, I’m happy to work with you to meet your needs. I’ve project managed magazines, websites, and more, and can do the same for you.
