about.

I’m Michaele Charles, the voice behind Voice.

I’ve been a writer from the time I could hold a pencil, and I was a voracious reader and enthusiastic storyteller as a kid, writing my first “novel” at the age of eight (awesomely entitled Moving Away). But I’m a practical girl who likes numbers too and wound up majoring in accounting at Colorado State University.

My adventure in accounting and finance began at PricewaterhouseCoopers, then I moved to a Denver-based investment company, and finally, a national recruiting and consulting firm, where I recruited accounting and finance professionals for our clients.

My love of words never waned, however, and for years I took evening fiction writing classes for fun. My passion for writing and experience in business set me up for the dream career I didn’t even know existed before then: copywriting. Lucky for me, the content marketing revolution was well underway, and businesses were moving beyond traditional outbound marketing into the brave, new world of inbound marketing.

In 2007, I put my right brain and left brain together and created Voice Communications. That unconventional path into marketing and communications writing is something that set me apart from the beginning—and still does. My knack for getting up to speed quickly on complicated topics and complex industries and creating content that is clear and compelling is what has led me to work with businesses of all sizes and all types, both B2B and B2C.

I’ve helped software companies, online and brick-and-mortar colleges and universities, accounting and finance firms, investment firms, tutoring and test prep providers, high-end landscaping companies, and many other organizations find their voice, tell their story, and stand out from the masses.
